Online dating across borders holds real promise — and real risk. Too many people seeking international relationships run into fake profiles, stolen photos, and catfishing, often before they ever realize who they're really talking to. The emotional cost is heavy, and so is the financial one.
Verified Hearts was created to change that. We believe trust should come before attraction — that you should know exactly who you're talking to before you ever get attached. So we put identity verification at the center of everything: every member proves who they are before introductions are made.
We're starting with connections between the United States — including the African diaspora already living there — and Cameroon, with plans to expand across more of Africa over time. Every member goes through government ID verification, a live video screening, and human review before they can connect with anyone.
We're currently in our founding-member pilot, working with our first members to build something genuinely safe and worth trusting. This is an early, deliberate stage — and the people who join now help shape what Verified Hearts becomes.
We will always be honest about what verification can and can't do. It confirms identity — it doesn't guarantee compatibility or outcomes. We'll always tell you to protect yourself, including never sending money to someone you haven't met in person. And we'll always treat the trust you place in us as the most important thing we have.
